Hope Cove is a beautiful, quiet village in Bigbury Bay that has become a haven for visitors looking to relax. The local South Hams scenery is beautiful and there is a good sandy beach. The village itself was once a thriving fishing community catching pilchards, but those days are now in the past. As with many coastal areas, the serene beauty and calm of the summer months can disguise the rougher winter storms and Hope Cove has had its share of ship wrecks over the years.
