This property enjoys a lovely beach side location with views to the sea and the beach being just a short stroll away. Village amenities in quiet Thurlestone include a shop and a popular pub as well as the golf course and two beaches. Further afield there are many beaches seaside towns and fishing villages to explore including Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands. Plymouth with its Hoe and waterfront Barbican complex is around a 45 minute drive away and offers a wide range of shops a historic waterfront and a wide range of eateries. This 1930s property is ideal for those who like to be close to the sea whilst enjoying a quiet and peaceful location. The lounge area comfortably seats four and has a TV and DVD. A door from here leads through to the kitchen/diner a light-filled space with large sliding doors which open out onto the decked seating area overlooking the garden. The large dining table sits in front of these doors whilst the kitchen is well-equipped with an oven hob fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave. A separate utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer whilst there is also a convenient ground-floor WC. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first bedroom is a pleasant double with sea views whilst the other room is a twin which also enjoys those views across to the sea. One of the bathrooms has a mixer shower and WC whilst the other has a bath separate shower cubicle and WC. Guests will love the large enclosed garden which is mainly set to lawn and a patio seating area close to the house which has beautiful sea views making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Dartmoor is a hiking mecca easily accessed from the jolly market towns of Ivybridge and Ashburton or Yelverton. There are a number of local golf courses with enviable sea views which include the very close by Bigbury and the slightly further course at Thurlstone. On entering this beautiful thatched cottage you will find yourself in the delightful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with an abundance of original features. The grade II listed fireplace with a wood burning stove takes centre stage. The stove and electric night storage heaters ensure the cottage is a cosy retreat to nestle up in after a long day out and about exploring all the great outdoors has to offer.
