The Dartmouth Steam Railway is a heritage railway line that runs between Paignton and Kingswear in South Devon on 7 miles of track. The line was built in the 1860s by a local company and was later absorbed into the Great Western Railway. With the major reorganisation of national railway lines in the 1960s, the line was closed but reopened as a heritage line in 1972 and is now only open in the summer season.
